We can no longer deny the pace and pressure of the world around us are speeding up and that the frenetic energy is having a negative impact on every aspect of our lives and well-being.

If we look at the rate the world is changing, we’re in a time in human history where the rate at which the world is changing has surpassed our capacity as humans to adapt to change.
This is a startling statement that might evoke more angst, but there’s truth in this reality that we’re all in this together and that we could all benefit from becoming more confident in our capacity to lead ourselves and others.
The interesting part of Eric Teller’s assessment is that it confirms what ancient yogis have been predicting for centuries. Yogic masters knew humans would need meditation and yoga to align, strengthen, and increase their mental capacity to live successfully in a future where technology reigns.
Now, more than ever we need to access our mind-body system- our energic life force- in order to keep up with the amount of data and work that comes at us each day.

For most people, change is difficult, but for women who suffer from the highest rates of burnout, the thought of learning new ways to build self-reliance can add to their already depleted state.
However, when we view change as intentional, the heart becomes involved and the aspiration takes on new meaning and creates new energy. Think of it as having the opportunity to choose to cruise on a two-lane highway versus a freeway- you’re still getting to your destination, just taking a more enjoyable and calm route.
The two-lane highway in this example is a conscious choice not to rush the transformational process. It’s a discerning moment to feel who you want to become and what being self-reliant will mean to you throughout your life’s journey.
Making the choice to increase your self-reliance, resilience, and well-being is the best investment you’ll ever make. It’s a positive compound effect strategy, where you’ll reap significant short and long-term gains from small, seemingly insignificant actions.

3. Sustain coherence by practicing heart-focused breathing multiple times a day. Remember your mind follows your breath and your body follows your mind so when you’re able to slow the breath down, focus on your connection to your heart, it will slow the mind so you can access more intuitive wisdom. The added bonus- you’ll be releasing vitality hormones instead of stress hormones.

You now have a new paradigm to create and experience life. By taking a heart (higher self) perspective you’ll access greater intuition which leads to higher possibility outcomes. Mastering self-reliance is an effective way to ignite and sustain positive change.
